To launch Walmart Fashion, we turned Oscars night on its head.
Walmart X Oscars
Challenged with launching Walmart Fashion during the Oscars—its largest media buy of the year—we skipped styling the stars and instead styled Hollywood’s real movie heroes: the crew.
We partnered with six red-carpet stylists to create looks for six Hollywood crew members. Each crew member starred in their own mini-movie showing off their new look. The films aired during Oscars night and were directed by Wally Pfister, an Academy Award winner himself.
The crew were also featured on the stylists and Walmart's social channels and in over 2000 Walmart stores.

We used Instagram stories to show our red-carpet stylists in action styling each crew member’s outfit. The stylists also teased the campaign on their own social channels.
We teased the launch by creating a behind-the-scenes video that introduced our Red-Carpet Stylists and gave viewers a glimpse into our production.
Outfits were displayed in-stores nationwide.
